Terms of service

The List is a personal concierge that books and manages restaurant reservations on your behalf. It is operated by an individual and is currently a free, invite-only beta. By connecting your account or messaging the concierge, you agree to these terms.

What the service does

You tell the concierge a restaurant, a day, and a time, and it works to get you the table, by booking on Resy, watching for cancellations, or calling the restaurant directly. You authorize us to act on your behalf using the Resy account you connect.

Your account and your responsibility

You connect your own Resy account and authorize us to book, change, cancel, and watch reservations for you, and to keep that connection active automatically so you never have to reconnect, until you disconnect (which wipes it).
You are responsible for the requests you make and for honoring the reservations we book for you. Repeated no-shows can get a Resy account penalized by restaurants, not by us.
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information.

About Resy and automation

The List books through your real Resy account using automation. That is against Resy's terms of service. It works today, but there is a small chance Resy could flag or limit an account that uses it. You choose to use The List knowing this.

AI phone calls

When a table can only be booked by phone, the concierge may place a call to the restaurant on your behalf, in your name, using an AI voice. The AI identifies itself as a concierge calling for you. By using the service you authorize these calls and confirm the callback number you provide is yours.

Messages

By connecting, you agree to receive messages from the concierge about your reservations and requests, by text (SMS or iMessage). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time, or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

Acceptable use

Use The List only for your own personal reservations.
Do not use it to abuse, spam, defraud, or harass restaurants or anyone else.
Do not attempt to break, overload, or misuse the service.

Beta, no warranty

The List is provided "as is," with no guarantees. It is an early beta. Availability changes second to second, restaurants and platforms can refuse or cancel, and a booking is never guaranteed until it is confirmed. We do our best, but we cannot promise a table.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, The List and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for missed, refused, or canceled reservations, restaurant charges, or any action a platform takes against your account. The service is free, and our total liability is limited accordingly.

Changes and ending the service

We may change or end the service, or these terms, at any time. If we change these terms, we will update the date above. You can stop using The List anytime by texting DISCONNECT, which wipes your stored Resy access.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States.
